Spectrum consolidation and network buildout activity dominated telecom headlines this period. AT&T completed its $23 billion transaction to acquire wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar 1, gaining approximately 30 MHz of nationwide 3.45 GHz mid-band spectrum and around 20 MHz of nationwide 600 MHz low-band spectrum 1, a deal the carrier says will enhance 5G network performance and support an AI-ready connected experience.

Separately, Black & Veatch announced the completion of Grain Management's acquisition of T-Mobile's nationwide 800 MHz spectrum portfolio 2, a transaction that had received prior FCC approval.
